Covington Lions Parade rolls, afterparty celebrated at the Trailhead

The 58th annual Covington Lion's Parade rolled 90 entries strong on Fat Tuesday, delighting the throngs of families who showed on the bright, sunny February day. "Carnival in Covington" included not just the parade, but also a free family-friendly party at the Trailhead at the end of the parade.

Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser rolled as the parade's the Grand Marshal and the Saint's Superfans were guests on the Captain's float. As part of the initiative to improve Covington Mardi Gras, artist Jared Osterhold who has produced work for Barth Brothers, Artists, Audubon Zoo, the Aquarium of the Americas and Harrah's Casino designed new floats for the parade.
