Krewe of Endymion of 2017 rolls across New Orleans: See Mardi Gras parade photos

The Krewe of Endymion, the brightest and biggest of the superkrewes, ruled the New Orleans streets on Saturday night (Feb. 25).

The parade, known for its floats lit with LED and fiber optic lights, rolled on its own, unique route from Mid-City to downtown. One float alone, "Pontchartrain Beach, Then and Now," had nine sections and carried 250 riders.

The krewe-members are also known for being generous with their throws.

The parade ended at the Extravaganza, where, this year, KISS, Flo Rida and KC and the Sunshine Band will perform.
