The Krewe of Iris kicked off a busy day of parades in New Orleans on Saturday (Feb. 25) riding down the traditional St. Charles Avenue route.

The all-female krewe with more than 1,600 anonymous riders celebrated its 100th anniversary this year. The group's signature throw was a hand-decorated pair of sunglasses.
