Lookin' good: Mardi Gras costumes delight in the French Quarter

Whether you're into political satire, pretty wigs or goofy group costumes, amble around on Mardi Gras Day (Feb. 28) in the French Quarter, and you're bound to stumble into all three and more. 

And 2017 was no different. From the sedate to the outlandish, the streets were overrun with characters of all stripes as the Quarter filled up from the overflow of the Zulu and Rex parades marching down the traditional route from Uptown.
