Jim Caviezel, best-known for portraying Jesus Christ in the 2004 movie "The Passion of the Christ," showed off his dance moves, including what looks like The Robot, in a meetup with the Landry-Walker High School Marching Band on Friday (Feb. 24).
Caviezel is also well-known for his role as John Reese in the CBS crime series "Person of Interest."
One fan commented about the video on Facebook: 'Go head Jesus, Mr Reese, & Jim do that!!"
After arriving in New Orleans just days before his reign as Bacchus 2017 on Sunday (Feb. 26) at 5 p.m. Uptown, Caviezel cavorted with the Landry-Walker Band in a mixture old-school dance moves and a little bit of conducting that was right on the money.
"We think he's ready to let the good times roll,'' the band said in a press release.
School spokesman Brandon Armant said, "The scene took place at the Hilton Riverside. The Krewe of Bacchus asked the Landry-Walker Band to perform for Jim's arrival."
The Landry-Walker band will be in the Bacchus parade on Sunday, too. The route starts at the corner on Napoleon Avenue and Tchoupitoulas Street.
