Watch New Orleans sanitation workers get funky dancing on Bourbon Street

New Orleans sanitation works dance on Bourbon Street

Pedicab driver Paul McCaige was at the corner of Bourbon and Iberville streets Thursday (Feb. 16) when he saw a moment that made him pull out his cell phone: New Orleans sanitation workers dancing to the sound of a nearby brass band.

The workers, wearing their bright yellow striped vests, shook all over Bourbon Street as they followed a trash truck making its way down the road. Nearby, a brass band was playing for tips, and soon the sound was too good to resist.

McCaige shared the video to Facebook, where it's already amassed tens of thousands of views in just hours.

"Right place, right time," McCaige wrote. "Happy Mardi Gras, y'all!"
