The most radical changes to Mardi Gras season in Metairie in a quarter century have been announced for the 2019 Carnival. Family Gras is moving from the Veterans Memorial Boulevard median west of Causeway Boulevard, its only home since its inception in 2007, to Clearview Mall, and krewes will have the option to parade on Veterans from east to west, opposite the current direction.
